Sailing past the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, gave us a taste of what was to come. On arrival to Amsterdam, we quickly disembarked
as our local guide was taking us on a canal cruise on a glass topped boat, to see the impressive waterside facades from the water. These canals
are called the Venice of the North and we could see why. Everyday living seems to start here, as the roads beside the canals are full of people
and of course bikes, the way of travel here in Amsterdam. There was so much to see and the insight to city living was important for us to
know. The bridges over the canals were spectacular and going under some of them was even more so. Sad to see the excursion finish and back on
the Travelmarvel Diamond, it was time to have our last fabulous meal and celebrate a wonderful holiday with many new friends. The Captain and
crew of our ship were fantastic and we have had a wonderful time seeing fascinating places and enjoying all the ship had to offer. Good
entertainment, comfortable cabins, great food and of course much enjoyed local wines along the river.

Last day today and some of our group are departing early but we have the day to explore the city at our leisure. There is much to see here,
Anne Franks house, Museums including Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum are among the highlights. Some we have seen before so a walk around and sample of
the beer was the plan of the day. A group of people were dressed in costume to add to the atmosphere and just looking at the buildings again was enough.
Great holiday and shame it had to end but off to the airport for our flight house but taking many happy memories with us.
