This was our twilight cruise in Budapest on our first evening and what a beautiful experience. Cities by day are
fabulous but to see them lit up at night is something else! The lights bring out the beauty of the city and we were so lucky
to have such a beautiful evening to see it. The Houses of Parliament and the Chain Bridge especially were spectacular After
quite a long tour we then went back to dock and get ready for the start of our next adventure.

Our first day was spent in Budapest doing a city tour. There are two parts to Budapest, the hilly, old, romantic Buda and the flat Pest, which was
built in the 18th-19th century. The river Danube divides this beautiful city and to start our days tour we began in the Castle District of Buda. From the top,
we could see the Houses of Parliament, Chain Bridge and many other highlights. The Castle area itself was just a fairytale with many beautiful
buildings and walls and turrets and all you would find in castle environs. The views were spectacular and we loved the restaurants and cafes that offered many
varieties of hot chocolate and the like. Another view was from Gellert Hill where the expanse of pest could be seen. Time to move on, and over to the Pest side
to see things a little differently. We passed by Heroes Square full of Hungarian History depicted by the many statues and monuments and then a drive around
to see St Stephens Cathedral and other important buildings. A great day and many photos later, back on the ship for the Captains Cocktail Reception and Welcome Dinner.
