Camden

It was only a short train trip to Camden and after a long walk due to a train stoppage, we arrived at the main Market area and could see all the fabulous shop decorations on the buildings outside the markets. Big shoes, planes, lobsters and many other artifacts were hung on the buildings and added to the vibe of a bustling market centre. The markets could be entered by an opening near the canal and so a visit to here was in order. Sellers had lots of different goods and clothes and jewellery were abundant.

The canal beside the markets was so interesting and very historical. A walkway along the waters edge is a great way to explore. The houseboats were many and varied and life on the water here seemed to be the norm. Goods were transported by horses here as they pulled the boats full of goods along and there were many plaques telling of heroic stories and events that had occoured here in times gone by. After a long walk and pleasant chats with some locals it was time to retrace our steps and go back to Kings Cross as we were leaving in the morning to meet up with our Globus Tour. A good nights sleep was in order and much packing still had to be done!!
