Police and Fire Games Belfast
The Police and Fire Games were held in Belfast, Northern Ireland from the 1st to the 10th August 2013. The Opening Ceremony was held at the King's Hall Complex and our South Australian contingent, covering many sports, were standouts in their green and gold. What a great introduction to all the competing athletes and as our group paraded, our supporters went wild!! All teams from all over the world marched onto the ground and sat down in the center to watch the entertainment and official opening and after that, let the games begin! and they did!

How exciting to be asked to come along and cheer for our friends from the South Australian Police Force who were competing in the Darts Competition.Karen, Jan and Alan looked great in their Darts Tarts Shirts and were quite a hit at the Newforge Country Club where the competitions were held. The competition was very strong but they all played well and apart from the challenge of winning, made some very good friends.

Success! The girls won a bronze medal amid the stiff competition and worked very hard for their medals. Alan was very successful and was right up there at the very end but just missed out! Great sportsmanship and the spectators were given much to see and cheer for. The medal ceremony topped off a great few days of competition. Well done!
