We arrived in Singapore on Scoot Airlines at 7pm and found our way to the V Hotel on the MRT...quite an experience! Our hotel is over the Lavender Station and is so very busy...after checking in we came up to our room and found it very small but absolutely immaculately clean! Brilliant, we just can't walk around the room together....Loved it and the location was fantastic!! Singapore is a wonderful place to visit and we met some travel companions and off we went to explore!!

Today we are going to see the Gardens by the Sea. We headed for the Marina Bay MRT Station and could see the fabulous boat shape hotel in the distance so we assumed the Gardens were near by. After crossing the river we entered the complex of which there are three sections, Bay South, East and Central of which area has its own type of attraction. We decided to catch the mini train around this huge complex which houses about 380,000 plants and trees and to get an idea of the layout. Passing the Supertrees gave us the incentive to begin our explorations here.

The Cloud Forest Conservatory was next on our list and from the moment we entered were amazed! The largest artificial waterfall stood in front of the entrance and from there a world of trees, plants and flowers were to be seen. The huge walkways gave us views of this fabulous "large garden" from every possible way and also the Singapore skyline...This is a place to come back to when we have lots of time to look at it all!!!

That evening the skies began to look ominous but we decided we wanted to see The Garden Rapsody, which is on every night for visitors to enjoy. The Supertrees are lit up and the music that accompanies it is just breathtaking. Colours changing and just the ambience of the trees make sure that the visitors have a fantastic sight. The show is on twice a night and unfortunately for us it was raining, lots of lightning and still the show went on!!
