Gardens by the Bay
We have planned a really exciting day today as we are going to visit The Gardens By the Bay. There is so much to see here that maybe a day is not enough. A train journey from Chinatown, then a walk to the Gardens is the plan. Views of The Marina Bay Hotel are fantastic and walking through to the bridge over the river is pretty good. There were hire cars on display here and of course tempted many to go for a ride but we did not have time so kept going. The entrance to the Gardens is full of statues and carvings and the views across to the Ferris Wheel fabulous.

Then it was time to pay our entry fee and into the Cloud Forest Dome. Outside is the worlds biggest man made waterfall and of course a great place to have your photo taken. Then into the dome. The Inside Dome is 35mtrs tall and the stairway all around it lets one see all the ferns, orchids etc from the cooler Montane Region where these plants thrive. The atmosphere in here is amazing and colour and the beauty of plants is so very evident. It takes a while to explore and we managed to find a Gorilla to have a photo taken with on the way out.

Next visit was to see the Flower Dome and this was just a picture of colour. The ceiling gave the Dome a special look and lots of statues of family and children seem to make the garden full of stories and life. The beautiful flowers in here were of every kind and colour and the extra decorations like the small bridges and houses added to the atmosphere.

Time flew by and soon it was time to the Supertrees and environs to take that in as well. We intended to stay for the evening light show when the whole area comes to life. Walking around let us see what a fabulous place this is so a coffee and a sit and plan was on the cards. The OCBC Walkway from one huge tree to another is a highlight and spectacular in the day but amazing when lit up at night. Soon we settled to spot where we could see all the trees and waited for the dark to fall. It was worth it all and the sparkling colours of the lights, combined with the accompanying music made our evening one to remember.
