Giant's Causeway
Off on a day tour to visit the Giant's Causeway and on the way we saw Carrickfergus Castle with its soldier guarding the top of the walls! A lovely visit here and we got time to explore a little and walk around and Jan decided to climb the wall and see if she could make it! The harbour was filled with fishing boats as it's a popular pastime on the coast.

Next stop was Bushmills Distillery for a whiskey tasting and lunch. Very popular and lots of whiskey bought here. One of the favourites of the day, according to Karen was the Honey Whiskey and it seemed to go down well!

A photo stop at Dunluce Castle on the way was interesting as it was built on the rocky outcrop of the coast.

Next stop..The Giant's Causeway. A long walk down to the bottom was in order and there were buses for those who needed a little help. We however, brave ones, walked down and when we got to the bottom marveled at the rock formations. The sea views were lovely and the rocks were many shapes and even different colours. The Giants must have had fun here!!! After many photos and much looking the time had come to walk back up the hill and that was no easy feat. However we did make it and a short rest on the coach was very welcome.
