We soon discovered that it was not a shop for us so we walked across the road and headed
towards the beach. What a lovely area, very clean and the sea was shades of clear blue and
green water. There were lots of tourists here and it seemed like it was great holiday destination. The hotels here
looked like all 5 star and had all the amenities that holidaymakers may want.
Guam itself is a territory of the United States and is home to the Andersen Air Force Base,
as well as having Naval headquarters near Apra Harbour.
The capital of the island is Hagatna. The island itself is 32 miles long and between 4 and 8 miles wide.
The island is located in the Marianas which is in a group of islands known as Micronesia.
After exploring the town we were dropped off in, we decided to return to the Arcadia for a late afternoon tea. All
in all a good day.
A sail out gave us lovely views of the island as we moved forward out towards sea. Much fun was happening
on the decks and then off for a swim before getting ready for another formal dinner evening.
