Irish Stud, Kildare, Rock of Cashel, Cliffs of Mohr
A drive through the green and beautiful countryside of Ireland took us across the Curragh to see the Irish National Stud at Kildare. This Stud is world renowned and has horses for breeding from all over the world. The grounlds are well managed and the gardens amazing. St Fianchra's Garden shows the presence of the Irish landscape and is a spiritual haven. A wonderful place to visit!

On our next journey we viewed The Rock of Cashel from the roadway as it sits high up on top of the hill. On through Cashel where we found Granny's Kitchen for a well deserved lunch. A lovely museum here and well worth a visit.

Next off to see the famous Cliffs of Moher from which a magnificent view of the Clare Coast can be had for the 204 metre cliffs. It is always very windy here and so the Tourist Office, restaurant and shops are built into the side of the mountain. Walking up the many steps, fighting the wind is well worth the effort and on a sunny day one can see for miles. The cliffs are sheer, tall and steep and it is reminiscent of the harsh Irish coastline to be found in many places over Ireland.
