Today we are off on a long trip to Kintamani! On the way there are many wonderful places to see and our first stop is the
Uma Dewi Kecak Dance. A large open air building with a stage are and a large space for the performers to act and perform in front of us.
We were given a copy of the story that they were acting out and so we could follow the performance without being able to understand the
language.. The costumes were so very colourful and the music was most appropriate to the show.. We all had a great time here and had photos
taken outside with the actors. A lovely start to the day!

Next stop was see a temple out in the countryside. Wayan particularly wanted us to have a visit here as it is very well known in Bali. We walked
to the entrance and then wandered around to explore. The temples and offerings were very interesting and the the big pond was full of fish and so very relaxing.
The rectangular pool was very popular with the locals as they could cleanse themselves in mind and body! The temple structures were quite unique and all very
well looked after. The girls were making offerings that would be used in ceremonies over the day. Of course there were souvenir shops and it was a bit of a gauntlet
to get through without producing your wallet!!! Fun though!!

Next stop was Kintamani, the Volcano itself. No point stopping at the viewing areas as the locals were overpowering with the offers of sarongs, bags
and any thing else they had to offer. So we went straight to the restaurant that had the best views of Kintamani. We settled on the outside verandah and took
in the the lovely vistas from here. Lake Batur and the mountains were just a sight as the day was very clear and we could see for miles! To add to this the food
in the buffet was so tasty and we could help ourselves to whatever took our fancy, Gary just had to have his photo taken with one of the staff before we left!!
