Last night we stayed at Andels Hotel, Krakow and were very pleased with the location. The hotel was very modern and located again across
from the main Market Square Area so very convenient of us all. Our city tour walk took us over to the Royal Route through the Main Market Square
towards Wawel Hill. Here we saw the Wawel Cathedral, important as Kings were buried and crowned here. St Marys Church with a beautiful
wooden alter was on the list and just buildings and architecture everywhere that was amazing. Here is the largest Square in Medieval Europe
so something special to see. We did stop and have a hot chocolate here and it was like none we ever tasted before. The spoon stood up and it was just
melted chocolate and so delicious but one was enough.

In the evening we ventured over to a local restaurant on our own and after the previous pirogi, decided to try again as it was delicious.
Sure was but it was SO BIG. Absolutely fabulous meal but one that had to be shared. Then a walk around the Square again to make sure we had not missed anything.

The Wielickzka Salt Mine was our next point of call. This ancient abandoned mine is a marvel featuring a maze of underground chambers, grottoes
and statues chiselled out of rock salt by miners hundreds of years ago. Walking through here with Matej, our Travelmarvel Guide, makes us wonder how
places like this exist. A fabulous piece of history and an amazing place to visit given the wonderful condition of a working mine in years gone by. The
statues are just brilliant and the Chapel of St kinga is just fabulous!! All in all, a wonderful experience and one we really enjoyed!

All to soon it was time to go back to the hotel and ready ourselves for our last dinner on this part of the trip. A walk over to the restaurant
was lovely as we got to see a little of Krakow by night. The restaurant was close by and a farewell dinner with a Traditional Folklore Evening was
ready for us. As we sat down, the music began and after dinner the dancers began their show and much to our delight managed to encourage some of us to get up
and dance with them. Lots of fun was had by all and we so enjoyed the evening. After lots of laughter we wandered back to the hotel, stopping
many times to see the beautiful lights of Krakow and how the buildings shon at night. We loved the horse drawn carriages and atmosphere they created, very
old world and much suited to the delightful city of Krakow.
