Palma de Mallorca

Another wonderful destination - Palma de Mallorca. We have been here before so decided to take a ship tour out to see the Caves of Drach. Driving through the town refreshed our memories and the magnificent La Seu Cathedral were revived. The area was different to what we had seen for the last few days - lots of palm trees and very modern buildings.

The Caves of Drach (Cuevas del Drach), were some way out of the city and when we reached there found we only had to walk across an open area and enter the caves. The formations in the caves were lovely, well lit and as we progressed down the stairway became steeper and the formations even more distinct. At the bottom we were shown to seats and then the lights went out and boats appeared on the underground lake with singers sharing some beautiful songs with us.
