After our fabulous Bentours Follow the Lights Tour, it was time to move onto our next exciting adventure, Hidden Powers and Northern Lights in Iceland. We caught an Airport coach just outside our Hotel and off to the Airport. After a almost 4 hour flight, we arrived at Keflavik International Airport and boarded the Flybus to our pre tour Hotel for the night. The Fosshotel in Reykjavik is centrally located and very nice. Off we set to explore and soon found our way into the centre of Reykjavik where we found lots to see. Interesting buildings with many murals, shop windows with different things for sale and of course many Troll statues and images everywhere. Great start to another adventure.

The next morning it was time to catch a taxi over to the Natura Reykjavik Hotel where we would meet our fellow travellers and our Guide, Lovisa for this next part of our tour. The rest of the day was free time so we went back into the city and explored more of this wonderful place. The snow and ice about made the colours of the houses and the murals really stand out and of course a coffee here and there was welcome.

A visit to see the Hallgrimskirkja Lutheran Church, 74.5 mrs tall and the largest in Iceland started our day. We entered the Church,
and found you could go up in a lift to get great views of Reykjavik from up there. It was amazing and such a fabulous place to see. The Church itself was very large, and quite spectacular. I have put a photo in of it at night thanks to a friend, so you can see the beauty of this amazing building. The scenery from the top
gave us an idea of the environment we were in and looking across the water showed magnificent mountains as a backdrop. House and buildings as well as the
airport were all around and all in all great introduction to the city environs. Then it was time to walk back and once gain see the uniqueness of the city
shops, buildings and local people going about their every day business. We really enjoyed our Hot Dogs from the stand in one of the streets and that was special.
