Stratford - upon - Avon
Next we are off to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace. A walk down the main thoroughfare and then a tour of the house were most interesting. The gardens were filled with roses of every colour and there were actors presenting performances out in the grounds. We then walked down to the water where houseboats and sea craft were in the harbour. A lock was working here and strangely enough it was being operated by a women. Good to see! Back to the coach and off to our accommodation for the night where a welcome dinner awaited us
