Today is the start of our adventure on the P & O Arcadia! We woke up to a grey sky and the promise
of rain but nothing would dampen our excitement. Leaving home at 9am we arrived at the station to catch a train
up to Sydney. The trip went quite quickly and then on arrival to Circular Quay - had our first glimpse of the
huge ship we were about to join for our journey to Dubai.

Boarding was a very simple procedure - the staff were very efficient and it was not long before
had our cruise cards and were shown on board to our cabins. Our cabin was E107 and we were pleasantly surprised
at the space and the decor of the room. We unpacked our gear, discovered all the amenities of the room and
then decided to go ashore for a walk around Circular Quay as we were not going to depart until midnight.

First off, a climb to the top of the Observation deck next to the ship was a must!
Splendid views from here and after taking a few photos we headed for the Opera House area. Lots of people had the same idea even though it was very overcast and a few rain showers. There was still much activity happening on the Quay including a
couple of weddings!
