The Ship
Today is the start of our 14 Night Reefs and Jungle Cruise on Ovation of the Seas. Our first view of the ship from the Railway Station
made us all the more excited to board our new adventure. After a simple checkin, time to put our cases into the fabulous large inside cabin that we
had been allocated and off to explore the ship itself. Pools, bears, Ifly, North Star and much more. Was 14 nights to be enough? Leaving Sydney Harbour
was in itself a highlight and there was much more to come
|
Our first stop was Brisbane and many people did excursions into the city but we stayed on board to enjoy and explore. After leaving there and cruising overnight, a helicopter rescue for a sick passenger was needed. Watching the event from our front window was amazing as the RACQ
Cairns Helicopter Rescue crew did an amazing job and ensured the patient got the appropriate and urgent treatment

Next, time to really explore this fabulous ship and all it has to offer. Outdoor activities are amazing, beautiful pools, both indoor and out, Ifly for the very adventurous, the Wave Rider for a thrilling surf ride, a brilliant walking track and the biggest one of all The North Star!. Then inside SeaPlex Recreational Area, there are Bumper Cars, a huge indoor playing field and apart from all that there many bars and restaurants of which a highlight is the Bionic Bar.
|
The North Star, a glass-walled capsule, is a highlight and passengers are required to book for this experience. A crane iifts the capsule
some 91 metres in the air, so very smoothly and does a 360- degree loop for people get a fabulous view of the ship and surrounds. An experience not to be missed.
