Voyager of the Seas
We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary with a cruise on The Voyager of the Seas. What a wonderful ship, so huge it takes a while to
get around. The trip was very special and we had many lovely wishes and a very special one from our friend Karen, who sent champagne, cup cakes,
canapes and a special breakfast to celebrate. Other friends, Kay and Kev helped to celebrate and made our anniversary special.

Walking around the ship took quite some time and we were amazed at just how well set out the decks were. The outside deck area, pools and walking track
had plenty of room for lots of people to be active at the same time. Every thing was spotlessly clean and well maintained and it was easy to get around.

The Sports Deck was an area to be seen, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, putt putt and much more. There was something for everyone
and on a nice day a great place to come and have fun. Gary found some new friends up here but unfortunately they did not want to play.

The decks by night were just fantastic. The deck party was exceptional with music, dancing and of course lots of
many coloured drinks to have. The colours were spectacular and it was a celebration under the stars. Fabulous event for all.

The theatre held a phenomenal number of people and the many shows were brilliant. Entertaining, colourful and musical. No complaints
there. One of the ships highlights is the parade down the main street. All the crew and entertainers dressed up in costume and walked, marched,
danced to the music and entertained the crowds. The Captains Welcome Party was held here amid all the celebration and a good night was had by all.
A special event, was the Ice Skating Show. This cruise line is the only one to have this and it was an absolutely fantastic show. The skaters were
amazing and the glitter and the glamour as well as the skill of the performers made this event a highlight.

Lots of events and happenings to suit everyone were on the agendas every day. Every night we found an animal on the bed. A towel one of course.
And so it was a must to go to the towel folding demonstration in the Cleopatra Room. How clever are the staff and we enjoyed watching them and
learning a little about folding to make the various animals. The photos show other areas of the ship and it would take quite a long cruise to see it all.

The Dining Room was the centre of activity at night and we had lots of lovely meals there. Our table waiter Grace, welcomed us every night and
made our time most enjoyable. It was a good place to meet friends and chat about our days adventures. There were 3 floors, many waiters and on the last evening
all stood on the stairs and sang to us. Grace then sang us a special song to us wishing us all the best. What a lovely way to end a fantastic cruise.
