Tromso and Honningsvag
On the way to Tromso, our ship docked at Svolvær so we could visit The Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum that houses the largest collection of German uniforms
and artefacts from World War 11. The visit was very interesting and there was much to see and full of interesting items. Back out into the snow we headed for
the comfort of the ship and our next destination Tromso.

Our visit to Tromso was another highlight of this journey. Approaching our dock, we could see the snow was everywhere and so we were prepared once
again with our winter gear so we could explore. There are lots of wooden houses here and it is recognised a s a cultural centre above the Arctic Circle. Fabulous
streets, amazing buildings and a beautiful Church, along the busy part of the town with bars, restaurants and many ice statues carved everywhere. A great visit
was had by all. All too soon again, back on board for our next stop, Honningsvag.

Honningsvag is the closest port to the North Cape, that is just 2000 kms from the North Pole so it was a pretty cool destination. A wonderful
village atmosphere town, and we really enjoyed walking around, looking at the homes, a little souvenir shopping and watching people get the ice off
their cars!!! It was time to have some snow and ice fun, so Kelli showed us how to do a snow face plant. She was excellent and came up with a snow mask,
and then Jan just had to do it too!!! What fun and fabulous memories of a delightful day!
