Urquart Castle, Lock Lomond, Grasmere
Urquart Castle was just a quick stop and lovely photos to be had. The castle sits on the side of Loch Ness and is beautifully situated. The scenery on the way was just breathtaking! The clouds gave a wonderful atmosphere.
Then a cow stop to see the belted galloways....one tried to smile at me.

Then off to Loch Lomond for a cruise. Weather cleared and it was wonderfull On the side of the lake was a large powerstation and our captain told us that to make power they roll haggis down the hill to the power station! Great comedian and he said Willie bought membership to the nudist island here as well!!! Just kidding as there was a nudist colony nearby?

Then we stopped at Grasmere for lunch. Had a lovely walk and saw the Wordsworths graves in the local cemetry...Grasmere was made famous by Beatrix Potter and there is much memorabilia of Peter Rabbit and friends to be found here. It is a lovely street of gorgeous stone buildings and many shops with lots of souvenirs.. There is also a famous gingerbread shop as well! After an hour we left travelling past Lake Windermere and saw their marina with many sleek boats. The main reason for people to visit here is mountain climbing and hiking. Snow falls here but no skiing as too rocky. After passing the lake we drove through Lancaster and bit that seemed to be a bustling village for holidaymakers....
