Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria and todays adventure is to visit the city , an architectural wonder with fabulous cafes and restaurants where the hot chocolates are divine! A drive around the Ringstrasse gives us a view of some of the buildings and also a little orientation, so we can move around on our own. ST Stephens Cathedral, Homburg Palce and the Albertina are just some of the ones not to miss and a walk past the world famous Spanish Riding School with the Lipizzaner horses, made us wish we had booked a show or training session. However there was much more to see, shops, shops and more and the city walk with our tour guide was very interesting. -

One of the highlights for us here was tie spent at the Naschmarkt, the largest Urban market that house over 100 permanent stalls selling everything from clothes to food to beer and anything else you wanted. The local fare was everywhere and all so very fresh. Our tour gave us a wine stop where we tried wines from the area and we all gave it the thumbs up as we enjoyed it all. Sitting on wine casks added to the ambience of the day.
