Vila
Here we are on another wonderful Voyager of the Seas cruise from Sydney to Sydney, and after 3 wonderful days cruising we arrived at Vila, Vanuatu in the South Pacific. We were greeted by many locals on the dock, singing and entertaining us. Outside the gates were rows of stalls with many locals selling their products. After browsing around and a few purchases, we hired a taxi to take us and show us a little of the surrounding area. Our first stop was to be the waterfalls, however upon arriving it was raining and we all decided it was too wet and slippery so off to the next stop

The Duty Free and the pub was our next stop and what a great time we had. There was a guy playing and electric piano and singing while we had a nice cool beer and then one of the ship passengers decided to karaoke and had a wonderful voice he had and we didnt want him to finish..much fun was had by all..our taxi driver eventually returned and so we continued our sightseeing up to a lookout vantage point and the view was amazing! The ship was just below us and some locals had come to see it too. What lovely people and we had a few photos taken with them much to everyones delight.

All too soon it was time to return to the ship and we still had time to browse the stalls again and make sure we had purchased some items as memories but also to boost the economy just a little too...

A wonderful farewell was happening on the dock as we departed. The local band played and marched with a twist..they are in formation but then broke into some fancy moves and even did the macarena!!! A great end to a fabulous day.
