After another lovely breakfast on board, time to explore Wurzburg, famous for its architectural beauty and fascinating streets.
Our first visit was to see the beautiful Wurzburg Residence, that has a glorious staircase and a wonderful history. The artwork here is
absolutely magnificent and the ceiling above the staircase just spectacular. It was saved during the war by a US Army fellow named Skilton,
who was a Monuments Man, dedicated to preserving art and the like. The chapel and Grand Salon are amazing and there is much to see in every
direction. The Residence was built between 1720-1744 for prince bishops, and was made a UNESCO site in 1981.

Time to wander the town and see the old as well as the new. Very modern shops here but the Cathedrals drew our attention first. St Marys
Chapel was very near to where we walked, and was very pcturesque sitting in like a Square. Many people were around and the market are surrounding it
gave it character. The stalls were interesting and there was even one that made beautiful floral tributes for graves. There were poles with small
doll like creations depicting the many occupations of the people of Wurzburg
